30 Days of Gratitude: Day 6
30 Days of Gratitude: Day 6, originally uploaded by Unique-Muslimah.
I’m grateful for my new hobby: baking. I know this phase should have hit me in my pre-teens, as it had with my friends back then, but it’s now, decades later, that I’m into creating and decorating cakes and sweets for my family.
When I’m baking I feel calm and peaceful while I mix and fold. I also love the taste of the batter before putting it into the oven. Although I’m still quite new at baking, I’m grateful that I’m good at this new hobby, because as soon as its out of the oven, they’re gobbled up by those who’re around me. I’m grateful that I’m good at something else and I’m grateful that it’s also in the creative realm, like my photography and writing. It feels good to bake and it sure does taste good afterwards too.
I love baking, it is so gratifying, satisfying and fattening
