Time to Speak Out
Why this blog and not the millions echoing their thoughts out into the cyber-world? I’m aware that I don’t have to answer this question, but I would like to entertain curious minds. Because it’s an honest blog, about my thoughts and reflections.
It can be compelling, even controversial, but it comes from a woman that is increasingly talked about in the media. A Muslim woman, donning the hijab (veil), born and raised in the West but of Arab roots.
If you want to listen to second-hand sources from the media about what it is like being a Muslim woman, don’t let me interrupt you. But if you want to read stories from first-hand sources, including myself, please take a seat on the aisles allocated. I don’t claim to be a representative of an organisation. I’m just an individual who wants to make sense of the world through her words on this blog.
